The Knoedler Family of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Christiana Magdalena (Bischoff) Knoedler (1865-1955) pictured at left - daughter of Karl Bischoff and his wife Catharina Barbara (Laible) of Illingen, Germany. 

Wilhelm Friederich Knoedler (1865-1950) pictured at right - son of Wilhelm Adam Knoedler and his wife Gottliebin Magdalena (Bischoff), also of Illingen, Germany.

Marie A. Knoedler (c1893-1984) pictured at center - daughter.

(The Knoedlers were cousins married in Philadelphia in 1890.  They were both grandchildren of Johannes Bischoff (1788-1859).  This family was also, in turn, distantly related to our Bischoff family,  through Johann Daniel Bischoff (1756-1819).  They arrived in America, seperately, in the 1880's and were instrumental in bringing our family over as well, having sponsored the voyage of  at least one of Karl Gotthilf's sisters.
